As an April 2026 bride myself, I know exactly how much pressure there is to have "wedding ready" skin by the time the big day arrives. The good news is, it doesn't have to happen overnight — with the right treatment plan and a little patience, your skin can look its most radiant, when it matters most.
I had a six-month lead up to my wedding, and I wanted to share exactly what that looked like — the professional treatments, the everyday routine, and the small rituals that made the biggest difference.
My Treatment Journey
My skin prep actually started two years before my wedding day. After my second pregnancy, I was left with pigmentation that felt really stubborn, so I started seeing Laura at Melton Skin Clinic for laser treatment — around five sessions in total over that time.
Once the wedding was on the calendar, Laura and I changed my treatment plan. We introduced skin needling to really bring that glow forward in the lead-up to the day. My first ever needling appointment was in February, and the results after just one treatment were honestly unreal — smaller pores, firmer-feeling skin, and a noticeably smoother texture. My skin has genuinely never looked better.
In total, I had three skin needling treatments before the wedding, spaced out in the months leading up to it.
My Daily Skincare Routine
Alongside my in-clinic treatments, hydration has been front and centre of my routine — not just for the sake of my skin, but because well-hydrated skin is exactly what lets makeup sit flawlessly on the day.
Morning — I cleanse with a gentle cream cleanser to start the day.
Evening — I use Orange Crush Cleansing Oil to gently remove the day and nourish my skin as I go.
Layering, morning and night — Once my skin is clean, I then layer: Pure Hyaluronic Serum, a vitamin B serum, Golden Hour Glow Oil Serum, and Superfood Moisturising Cream.
And then, of course, a good night's sleep — still one of the most underrated skincare steps there is.
If You've Got a Wedding or Event Coming Up
I have sensitive skin, so I was nervous going into skin needling — but I am so thrilled by the way my skin has responded to the treatment without any of the irritation I was worried about.
If you're able to get the treatment done, I'd pair it with the Hydrating Sheet Mask a week afterwards, to really support your skin through that recovery and glow phase. And if skin needling isn't accessible to you right now, the Hydrating Sheet Mask alone is still a lovely way to give your skin a boost of moisture before a big day.
A Few Minutes, Every Day
One small ritual I've kept up through all of this is a daily facial massage — just five minutes, worked into my morning routine. It naturally promotes collagen, helps drain lymph, and has made an incredible difference, especially around my jaw line.
More than anything, it's become my moment to slow down and check in with myself. Wedding planning, parenthood, life — it all moves fast, and those five minutes are mine. Whatever you've got coming up, big or small, I hope you find a little ritual like that for yourself too.
